| Pictures, J.O.N.A.S! Premiere! on May 2, 2009 |
|
Hey all, I’ve added some new pics to the gallery: Screencaptures from a J.O.N.A.S! promo, 1 new photoshoot pic, and 2 behind the scenes pics.
Also, Just Jared Jr. had an interview with Chelsea Staub. Read it below:
JJJ: What is your favorite thing about the Jonas Brothers?
CS: It’s pretty cool that I get to go to work with three guys my age who don’t suck to look at (laughs). They’re cute and they’re fun and we have a great time together. They love to make people laugh and make them feel comfortable. It’s really nice to be able to go to work and know that I’m doing my job and doing what I love. I’m there with peers and people that I can relate to because we’re all close to the same age. It’s awesome.
JJJ: How much fun is it working with your real life best friend, Nicole Anderson?
CS: It’s really cool. Nicole and I met each other five years ago in an acting class. We hit it off right away because we’re both the same age and we’re both in the same situation where we left our home states (hers being Georgia, mine Arizona) with our moms, living in a one-bedroom apartment pursuing our dream which was amazing but it’s hard too. We were missing friends and families, prom and high school. So, we really hit it off and it was nice to have someone going through the same things. About two years ago, we both auditioned for Stella. It came down to me, Nicole and Demi Lovato for the role of Stella. I booked it and I was so thrilled and it was also bittersweet because my friend lost out and that was hard feeling like you’re celebrating when you know your friend is hurting. Then a year ago, when we started filming the first season, the producers came to me and said that they really wanted to write in a best friend for Stella and they were thinking of casting Nicole. It was perfect. It was full circle and we were able to do the show together. Also, both starting out in the same acting class, going through auditions together to now seeing our names on the call sheet of a series as a regular character. It was cool to go through this experience together because we both know how much it means to us. We’ve had a lot of moments on set where we just stop and look at each other and go, ‘I can’t believe we did this. This is so awesome.’
JJJ: You took a trip to Paris for New Year’s. What was your best memory from the trip?
CS: I fell in love with Paris. It was so incredible, I don’t even have words. We were only there for five days, and we fit in so much. I don’t think we slept at all. I went with my two best girl friends, which was incredible. I read a quote a long time ago from Gwyneth Paltrow’s dad [Bruce Paltow] saying, ‘I want you to go to Paris for the first time with me, because I want to be with someone who will always love you and love you no matter what.’ That quote was what I went by when I went with my two girl friends. This was such a perfect city, I never want it ruined. So I went with people who I know I’m going to love forever. We walked around the city, we saw all the sights that we wanted to. Everything from the Eiffel Tower to Musee del’Orangerie and the Siene River. But my favorite moments, I think, were sitting in the little cafes and meeting the people. We managed to met a professional tennis team, I don’t know how. We ran across these guys who were speaking English, which was a relief for us because we don’t speak a lot of French. They had attended schools in the states and were back in France attending tournaments and we hit it off with them. They showed us parts of the city that we probably wouldn’t have seen because we weren’t locals. It was incredible. Everything from the food to the people to the sights. We had a blast. The coffee, the crepes. We stayed in this one hotel where the little guy who rant he front desk — his name was Jean-Oui — every night we would come back home and we’re three young girls who were trying to be frugal [save] with our money. Every night we would come back to the hotel and ask us if we’ve eaten, which most times we hadn’t. He’d go, ‘Wait, wait, wait…’ and he’d run across the street to the bakery and bring us about 10 hot croissants and a bottle of water. We didn’t ask him to do it, but every day he would bring us that to make sure we were fed and taking care of ourselves because he knew we were young girls who were traveling without our parents and probably not being responsible. He definitely kept us alive on that trip (laughs).

Chelsea Staub was in Chicago recently for a couple of days with a friend, and she blogged about it on her Myspace.
Chicago is a very cold place. At one point I had hail sticking to my eyelashes, but when you’re with people you love — you don’t even notice.
I bought a plane ticket to meet some friends in the windy city. On Saturday night, I closed my eyes, pulled out my credit card and typed in the faded silver numbers until I had a Sunday morning boarding pass with my name on it.
I packed three days worth of clothes and toiletries in my beat up Anthro backpack. All my girly essentials in one small bag….? Huge accomplishment.
After four hours on a plane listening to the girls in front of me talk in detail about the Jonas Brothers, (which was very entertaining) I landed at Midway airport. I hopped in a cab and 40 minutes and 40 bucks later, I was standing in front of a dilapidated bar/music venue called the Beat Kitchen.
…
After a night of pop rock and a hilarious “A Milli” cover from the bass player of “The Morning Light,” we were off to a much anticipated night of zzzzz’s.
Noon, next day. Awoke to a breakfast of Gino’s East deep dish pizza. The perfection of the cheese and the pound of dough I was consuming literally brought tears to my eyes. Or maybe it just tasted better because it took 45 minutes to prepare. It was completely over priced and completely worth it. You can also draw on the walls there, so if you ever sit upstairs in the second to last booth on the right, look for me.
…
My favorite piece — The Cloud Gate Sculpture. A giant stainless steel coffee bean that reflects, well, the clouds. And everything else. It’s random and sleek, like liquid mercury, and it makes me happy. Due to its undeniable shape, it’s only fitting that we headed for a cup of java.
While waiting for the light to change, we got caught in a pounding hail storm. It was completely unexpected and attacked without warning. We ran in circles for about thirty seconds looking for sanctuary and with no refuge in sight, we busted out laughing and held each other. Hail, yes.
With wet boots and bangs, we finished our day with soup and Sponge Bob. Looking out the 23rd floor window, I could see Lake Michigan. Okay, at first I thought it was the ocean and I will never live that down. It was a great 48 hours. I can’t wait to go back.
